The Dry Electrodes Kit consists of four leads that plug into the Vilistus EEG sensor. It allows for a saline-based hookup with no skin prep or clean-up after the session.

This quick, easy, and clean EEG hookup consists of four 18-inch electrode wires in different colors. The sensor wires terminate at a clip secured to prong electrodes pre-installed in the headband. A special saline fluid included in the kit, sprayed on the electrodes, conducts the EEG signal.

The four wires plug into the EEG’s sensor pin, with the fifth wire attaching to a pre-gelled electrode placed anywhere on the body as the ground. The prong electrodes last for a minimum of 10 hookups. Shipped from the U.S., the kit comes with a bottle of saline spray and 21 extra electrodes.

Note: The Dry Electrodes Kit is more susceptible to electrical and sound wave artifact than the paste-and-gel hookup but does not create EM noise where there is none. Persistent artifact can be screened out with the software’s Low Pass Filter, providing readings below 44 hertz.
